The KC-135 Stratotanker is a military aerial refueling tanker and one of the most strategically important and longest-serving aircraft in the U.S. Air Force. It was initially tasked with refueling strategic bombers such as the B-52, but was later deployed in conflicts like the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm to extend the range and endurance of U.S. tactical fighters.
The KC-135 was developed in the 1950s based on the 367-80 prototype, and its first flight took place on August 31, 1956; many of these aircraft remain in service today.
This MOC is a 1:80 scale replica of the KC-135 Stratotanker, meticulously designed with every detail and all the features of the real aircraft:
