1. 1:30 Scale: The design draws inspiration from the German World War II heavy tank, the Tiger I. Every detail has been exquisitely recreated; the dimensions are: Length 28.9 cm x Width 13 cm x Height 10.8 cm. The tracks are functional (capable of movement), and the turret can rotate and elevate.
2. Background Story: The Tiger I was a German heavy tank of World War II, first seeing action in 1942, and mounting the 8.8 cm KwK 36 gun; 1,347 were produced from August 1942 to August 1944 before being succeeded by the Tiger II. While considered an outstanding design for its time, it was also overengineered, expensive, and labour-intensive, prone to early track failures but generally mechanically reliable, though difficult to transport and liable to become immobilised when mud or ice jammed its overlapping road wheels. Only nine survive today, with Tiger 131 at the UK’s Tank Museum being the sole example restored to running order.
