1. Original Design: Designed and licensed by DarthDesigner, this F-14 TOMCAT - 1:35 Scale (v3) MOC-223761 set is a small-particle building block model of the iconic American carrier-based fighter—a supersonic, twin-engine, tandem two-seat, twin-tail, all-weather aircraft featuring variable-sweep wings. Compared to the v1 and v2 versions, this iteration boasts a sturdier and more structurally sound design; furthermore, the variable-sweep wings now offer a wider range of motion and operate with significantly smoother articulation.
2. The F-14 Tomcat is an American carrier-capable, supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, variable-sweep wing fighter, and the first of the "Teen Series" aircraft designed based on air combat experiences from the Vietnam War. It first took flight in 1970, was deployed aboard the USS Enterprise in 1974, and served as the U.S. Navy’s primary air superiority fighter, fleet defense interceptor, and reconnaissance platform well into the 2000s—gaining precision ground-attack capabilities with the addition of the LANTIRN pod in the 1990s. Retired by the U.S. Navy in 2006, many Tomcats are now preserved as museum exhibits. Exported to Iran in 1976, the F-14 saw extensive combat during the Iran–Iraq War; Iran claimed 160 aerial victories (55 officially confirmed) against the loss of just 16 aircraft. Due to shortages of spare parts, the F-14 remains in limited service with the Iranian Air Force today.
